Transdev Services, Inc. doing business as Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE Bus), intends to utilize Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds and enter into a contract with Trapeze Software Group Inc. for a license upgrade to existing Suite of Trapeze products, without competitive bidding.

NICE Bus utilizes Trapeze Software suite, specialized software used by transit agencies to manage, schedule, and dispatch paratransit or demand-response transportation services.

This notice shall serve to invite any firm that believes it can provide the Paratransit (Demand Response Transport) Scheduling System that can interface with NICE Bus existing Trapeze proprietary software suite to inform NICE Bus. If NICE Bus is satisfied that the firm is responsible and can provide the requisite hardware and software products required to ensure compatibility with the existing Trapeze System on acceptable terms and conditions, this procurement may be competitively bid. Transdev Services, Inc., doing business as NICE Bus, intends to purchase two (2) Mobile Heliox Chargers 60kW for charging New Flyer Battery Electric Buses (BEBs) from New Flyer without competitive bidding.
 
NICE Bus currently has New Flyer XE40 BEBs in its fleet that will benefit from two (2) Mobile Heliox Chargers 60kW. The Heliox Mobile Chargers 60kW utilize and interface with a software & hardware communication protocol required to charge the BEBs and New Flyer sells the chargers directly to the Customer (NICE Bus). The proprietary software system integrates the mobile charger and the BEB functionality, thus enabling a proper charging sequence. Based on the above requirements, it is a critical necessity that New Flyer has an integrated, reliable and customer-focused relationship with the mobile battery charger manufacturer. We understand this capability is not available from another source.
 
This notice shall serve to invite any firm that believes it can provide the same requirements that can function in the same manner, form, shape, and deliverables and can be used for the same purpose as described above, to inform NICE Bus. If NICE Bus is satisfied that the firm is capable and responsible, and can provide the requisite hardware and software components, plus an extended five (5) year Warranty and Service Level Agreement to ensure compatibility with New Flyer XE40 BEBs on acceptable terms and conditions, then this procurement may be competitively bid.

Transdev Services, Inc., doing business as Nassau County Inter-County Express (NICE Bus) is soliciting a firm-fixed price quotation from qualified and responsible firms to remove existing farebox collection systems and completely furnish and install cash fareboxes on fixed route and shuttle-service buses. Work to be performed at the NICE Bus Mitchel Field Depot in Garden City, NY. 
 
The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, training and transportation necessary to manufacture, furnish and install fareboxes in accordance with the specifications set forth in the contract. The fareboxes shall be delivered to NICE Bus maintenance and transportation facility located at Mitchel Field, 700 Commercial Avenue, Garden City, New York 11530.
 
A contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, and all prices shall remain firm for the duration of the contract term. All equipment and associated work shall be performed in full compliance with applicable Federal, New York State, and local laws, regulations, and codes, as well as with the Specifications and Scope of Work (SOW) included in this IFB.
There is no NICE Bus DBE Participation Goal for this procurement, nonetheless all minority businesses are encouraged to participate.
 
NICE Bus will hold a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Site Tour on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. ET at 700 Commercial Avenue, Garden City, New York.  All bidders are encouraged to participate.


Sealed bids must be received by NICE Bus before the IFB due date and time at 700 Commercial Avenue, Garden City, New York 11530. Sealed bids will be publicly opened at 10:05 A.M. Eastern Time on April 29thth, 2026 at the same location; Bids received after this date and time will not be considered. All questions for this Farebox Collection System IFB must be received, in writing, by February 11th, 2026, 5:00 PM ET.

Transdev Services, Inc. doing business as Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE Bus) is soliciting firm-fixed price bids from responsible firms to bid on the Complete Installation and integration of a Methane Gas Monitoring System in Garden City, NY. Contract term shall not exceed eight (8) months from date of contract award. A contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder and prices shall remain firm throughout the contract term. There is no DBE Participation Goal for this procurement; all minority businesses are encouraged to participate.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site tour was held on WEDNESDAY, MAY 6th, 2026, at 10:00A.M. ET at 700 Commercial Ave, Garden City, NY 11530.
