Invitation for Bids (IFB)

Project Location: Rockville Centre, New York.
IFB due Date and Time: July 12, 2016, 2:00PM (EST)
Transdev Services, Inc. doing business as Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE Bus) is soliciting firm-fixed price bids from responsible firms for its Roof Replacement project at its Rockville Centre depot. Contract term shall be for eight (8) months from date of contract award. A contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder and prices shall remain firm throughout the contract term. There is no DBE Participation Goal for this procurement. However, minority businesses are encouraged to participate.
Sealed bids must be received on or before July 12, 2016, 02:00 P.M. EST by NICE Bus at 700 Commercial Avenue, Garden City, New York 11530. Bids will be publicly opened at 02:05 P.M. EST on same date and at same location.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site tour will be held on June 16, 2016 at 10:00am EST at 50 Banks Ave, Rockville Centre, New York 11570. All bidders are encouraged to participate in this conference.

Funding support for this project is provided through a financial grant from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). In accordance with 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 26, participation Disadvantage Business Enterprises (DBE) in all aspects of this federally funded contract will be encouraged and supported.
Offerors are encouraged to utilize the services of minority and DBE-owned banks, and other financial institutions, when such institutions are available. Information about such institutions owned and controlled by economically and socially disadvantaged individuals can be requested from the Project Director, Nassau County Office of Minority Affairs, at One West Street, First Floor, Mineola, NY 11501 offices.
