Connections to the LIRR
As part of our service at NICE, we are committed to connecting our riders to other transportation modes in the greater NY area. As part of that commitment, we offer numerous bus connections to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), ensuring that our customers can move freely throughout the greater Long Island and New York City metropolitan area.
Major transfer points connecting the LIRR to NICE include Amityville Station (where the LIRR Babylon Branch links to the n54), the Farmingdale Station (where the LIRR Ronkonkoma Branch links to the n70 and n72), the Freeport Station (where the LIRR Babylon Branch links to the n4, n19, n36, n40, n41, n43) and the Great Neck Station (where the LIRR Washington Branch links to the n2G/H, n21, n25, n57 and n58.)
Our two major connection points are the Hempstead Transit Center (HTC) and the Mineola Intermodal Center (MIC) which you can learn about in great detail below.
Again, the LIRR stations listed above are only the major transfer points. Nearly all stops on the LIRR in Nassau County are served by one or more NICE bus routes. For a more complete picture of how NICE connects with the LIRR, visit our Maps and Schedules page or the LIRR homepage. (http://lirr42.mta.info/)
