Our new 2019 Winter Schedules go into effect Sunday, January 20th. A total of 18 routes have new trip times, allowing for better connections and more convenient rider experiences. See the list below for links to the new schedule PDFs. If your schedule is not listed in the graph below, it does not change.
Our new n22X schedule makes for a faster trip!
The n22X has been adjusted to provide a convenient alternative to the n22 local during rush hour. The Express will now depart/end at 179th/182nd instead of Jamaica Terminal. We've added Express stops at 205th Street, Springfield Blvd, 235 Ct, Little Neck Parkway, Marcus Ave, Willis Ave, 2nd Street, and 1 Old Country Road. For n22X connections to the n23 and n40/41, please make the 3-minute walk from 2nd Street to the Mineola IC. All weekday, mid day local EASTBOUND n22 trips will be handled by the n22X departing from 2nd Street and Mineola Blvd, a short walk from the Terminal.

On-time performance for the n24
The traffic congestion on Old Country Road and Jericho Turnpike is challenging and unpredictable. To help ensure that you get to your destination on time, we are breaking the n24 weekdays into two separate legs with eastbound and westbound buses beginning/ending at Roosevelt Field Mall. For further n24 travel towards Hicksville or Jamaica, please use our free transfer to the proper n24 at Roosevelt Field.
Babylon Turnpike is now served by the n43
The n43 will now serve Babylon Turnpike instead of the n41. Please transfer to/from the Babylon Turnpike at Main Street.
Headway Management comes to the n6!
NICE introduced a new type of service in 2018 called a Headway Management Schedule. With Headway Management service, we transition away from scheduled trips to an evenly spaced, frequency-based service. This provides more consistent on-time performance for buses while providing a more reliable service for our customers. Headway Management has been a welcome change to n40/41 and n31/32 service, and will be introduced on the n6 for January. Our supervising ground team utilizes real-time technology to minimize bus gaps and bunching. Our goal is to expand this type of service to our more heavily used routes to increase frequency and reliability by spacing bus pickups/ drop-offs evenly through-out the day.
In general buses are timed to arrive every 10 to 15 minutes at your stop, weekdays 6:00 am -7:00 pm. To review our weekday frequency and scheduled trips on the n6, n31/32, and n40/41, please click on the route links above.
