SUMMER FIXED ROUTE SCHEDULES START MAY 25TH, 2025.
Our new Summer Schedules go into effect starting Sunday, May 25th, 2025. We have made adjustments to accommodate increases in traffic and changes in ridership patterns and habits.
SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS
Jamaica HIllside Routes : n6/6x, n22/22x, n24, n26
On June 1st, at 12:01 am along with MTA routes, NICE service will move 1 block east to the new Jamaica Bus
Terminal located on 90th Avenue between 168th street & 169th Street. Stop locations listed below (please
note, locations are subject to change.)
Mini Syosset & n79X pilot service
After assessing ridership data and patterns, we are ending these two pilot services. The data and feedback
we gathered during these pilots will help us craft new, rider-friendly services across Nassau County in the
future. Thank you to our riders for your participation.
Mini South Shore service will continue as usual. For travel between Hicksville and the Walt Whitman Mall,
please use the n79 local.
n1
-The Weekday extension to UBS Area is discontinued.
-Non Jamaica bound trips will start/end at Hempstead Tpke & Elmont Road (as previously.)
-Weekday midday frequency south of Green Acres is decreased.
n6/n6X
-Some local trips depart from Jackson Street (just south of the Terminal) 7 days a week.
-n6Xpress trips depart from inside Hempstead Transit Center at the n6 bays.
-n6 local and n6Xpress schedules are coordinated for 7-8 minutes combined peak frequency.
-n6Xpress stops are consolidated at UBS Arena and added at Westminster Road.
n16Xpress
Express service is paused for the NCC summer break.
n21
-Some weekday trips start/end in Rosly; for service to Great Neck, transfer to the n20H.
-n21 schedule is coordinated with the n27 for 30 minute all day frequency to/from Northern Blvd.
n22Xpress
Express stops added at Hillside Avenue & Herricks Road.
n25/58
n25 and n58 trips are separated Weekdays (as previously) to improve on time performance.
n40X
Re-routed through Hempstead. Hempstead stops are moved to Main Street & W. Columbia.
n54/55
n54/55 will no longer stop at the Sunrise Mall. Buses will stay on Old Sunrise to/from Amityville.
n88Xpress
-Daily service to Jones Beach from the Freeport LIRR station (northeast corner) resumes on Friday,
May 23rd thru September 1st.
-Weekend departures from Hempstead have been discontinued. All trips start/end in Freeport.
Transit Users
The trial period of agency-provided access to the Transit app's full version has ended. NICE Customers will continue to see the next several live departures at their stop, but the full-feature version will require a subscription.
